Terms of Service
Last Updated: April 25, 2025
We’ve tried to make this terms of service policy as simple and digestible as possible. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
1. Introduction
By downloading, installing, or using Meru, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Meru is provided by Zoid Ltd, a UK-registered company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). If you don’t agree to these Terms, please don’t use Meru.
2. License
Meru is open-source software with two license tiers:
Free Version
Available at no cost for personal use with a single inbox and includes limited features as described on our website.
Pro Version
Requires a one-time payment for lifetime access, is required for commercial use, and includes additional features. Each Pro license is limited to one device at a time. You may not share or transfer your Pro license key.
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for Pro license purchases. Contact tim@meru.so for refund requests.
3. Privacy & Data
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, and protect your data.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
MERU IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED ACCESS TO GMAIL THROUGH MERU.
5. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZOID LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF MERU, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to disable Pro license keys used in violation of these Terms, such as fraudulent purchases or abuse of the refund policy. This won’t affect your ability to use the Free version.
7. Service Discontinuation
If we discontinue Meru, we’ll make reasonable efforts to provide a version that allows Pro users to continue using their purchased features without license validation. However, no updates or security fixes will be provided after discontinuation, and continued use would be at your own risk.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless local laws provide otherwise.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. We’ll notify you of significant changes via email or through the application. Continued use of Meru after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
